A good dose of fear of government is a good thing. But don't forget that government has created great programs in the past that we, today, take for granted...Social Security, Income Tax, Medicare, the Draft, the Highway System. Don't let you fear be fed so much that you are Blinded and Powerless. People like Limbaugh only feed your fear--turn them off! Start thinking about solving problems, yourself. Investigate and research problems--work on positive answers. And when you come to a brick wall start over again. Seek help.
I've come to the conclusion that the US health care system is unsustainable. It can't continue to work for people in its present form. I am convinced, no matter how imperfect, that other countrys' health care systems take better care of their people than the US. And they do it at less cost. It's unfortunate, but our health care system has evovled to benefit the health care providers and not the people--they take care of you alright, but most of us can't afford to pay. Health care is a Right we all should benefit from--not to just those who can afford it. You say it's not in the Constitution... but this has been changed to benefit the people over the years.
I don't believe that the "individual mandate" is necessary. But I do believe in the "public option".
I think the president has underestimated the power of the free market system. All things being equal, a lower costing "public option" will attact more people who think they can't afford insurance into purchasing. Also, when the "public option" is introduced it will force insurance companies to give up some of its hugh profits to become more competitive. Affordability will be the positive outcome of the PO.

I have one full-time job, plus OT, which I work in order to support myself and my children. Apparently, I also work to support others and their children, some of whom have no legal right to be in America.

I have a second full-time job, trying to keep up with what our government is trying to steal from us, including our liberty, our constitutional rights, and our private property. The more I learn, the angrier and more frightened I become.

I made the trip to Washington, DC to participate in the march on the Capitol on 09-12-09. I participate in events such as town-hall (well, TELE-town-hall) meetings, Tea Party protests. I call and write to my representatives (many in name only, apparently) on a regular basis. I talk to my family, friends, coworkers, and complete strangers. I study my constitution, listen to Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh, and read the links posted on their programs. I support the Heritage Foundation on a monthly basis.

I am commenting here now. I lose sleep, I have lost friends, and have family with whom I can no longer hold a conversation. I am ready to seek professional help, because my head is about to explode! I can barely pay my bills, and I am not having any fun.

No one ever said that this would be easy, but why should it be so difficult? Elected and unelected officials ignore the oaths they took to protect, preserve, and uphold our Constitution. The President of the United States is endangering our national security, and giving away our national sovereignty. His primary responsibility is to protect America!

I see these things as immediate threats, and of far more importance than health care or energy legislation. I believe I am doing everything I can, and if I did not need to sleep, I would not.

I can read the documents this article links to--to a point--the bills are far too lengthy with only 24 hours in a day. My house has not been cleaned in a year. I cannot afford to pay someone else to do it. I have to work, in order to take care of my responsibilities, and responsibilities imposed on me by our government. I AM AFRAID OF MY GOVERNMENT, and the powers they are assuming in defiance of the Constitution (as well as the will of the people). My government should FEAR ME, and my fellow American citizens.

People have been civil thus far, but there will come a point where we will no longer be so. Our actions seem so futile! When will we know that the time for peaceful dissent is over, and the time for organized revolt has arrived? It's a frightening thing to contemplate, and something we should not have to do.

Any thoughts?
