Townhall Downfall: Rep. Steve Kagen (D-WI)

Despite President Barack Obama’s deadline, both the House and Senate failed to pass Obama’s health care plan before they adjourned for the month of August. Now Senators and Representatives are returning home to participate in one of America’s greatest democratic traditions: the townhall.

The events afford citizens the rare opportunity to share their opinions directly with their elected officials. Considering the unprecedented scope of power that President Obama wants to exercise over our nation’s health sector (a sector that is one-sixth of our entire economy and larger than the United Kingdom), we’re sure Americans will have plenty to say.

Rep. Kagen got a cool welcome from his fellow cheeseheads in Wisconsin last night. Watch:

Heritage takes health care reform seriously. Doing nothing is not an option. Click here for real solutions that actually lower costs while maintaining the high levels of care that Americans expect.

AMERICA IS MUCH WISER THIS TIME AROUND....

The GOP is instructing these people to attend the Townhall Meetings on Healthcare, then telling them to proceed to shout at the speakers, and not give them a chance to respond to their questions. They don't go with the intention of discussing anything. They go with the INTENT TO CAUSE DISRUPTION, almost to the point of someone having to call in the police to control them, and the crowd after they stir things up a bit.

These are the kind of tactics the GOP uses daily to get their way, which keeps all of us (America), from getting anywhere or getting anything done. They have no solutions to the Healthcare issue or any other issue facing America. So, they continue to try to block any move by the present Administration to help anyone, and insists on putting a STOP, or BLOCK ON EVERYTHING proposed by the Obama Administration.

In Essence, the GOP and their TALKING-HEADS, are again acting like children, to get their way. Only this time, America fully understands what they are up to with their TEAPARTY DEMONSTRATIONS, and TOWNHALL MOCKINGS !

THE GOP REALLY SHOULD GROW UP, AMERICA CERTAINLY HAS !

Kagen, like Obama, is an elitist. Both fail to see where a massive reform, such as health care, will take regular American citizens. They view themselves as above the rest of America. Representatives lie. Representatives deceive. And representatives listen to special interests, party leaders, the Administration's "czars," secretaries and special advisors. Unfortunately, it's come to this: American citizen taxpayers have to raise their volume to get attention from their "representatives."

Kagan did not appear smart enough to see that he was looking at his political demise ... it was right in front of him and it was plane to see that he did not want to hear it and will still vote for this massive government takeover .... and will be soundly defeated in his next election.

I do not understand how these congressmen President Obama can not see that they are going aginst the will of the majority of the people.

All these Hussein lackeys need to do to get people on board with the healthcare modifications and cost savings we all know are needed is to GUARANTEE us that the proposed govt. run health insurance will NOT happen. If they promise that and that they all will get on our system too and that taxes will not rise in the outrageous amounts they are now proposing, I think there could be a consensus we could all live with -- and the operative word is LIVE. No rationing of care or medicines. !!!!!!
