This Administration has been quite over-bearing with efforts to get this plan passed. Many more issues at hand require the immediate attention of the President have been unattended. He is always spending, spending, and more spending and the health care bill he and Pelosi are offering will do nothing for the American people other than assist in paying back the debts he continues adding to. He completely over-looked the Americans who are not in favor of this ridiculous piece of waste material on Saturday. He shows no interest whatsoever in the needs of the people. I do not need someone who is as inexperienced in all aspects of government to run my health care. If I were termanilly ill, would I have to wait as long as Gen. McCrystal has waited for troops, to receive my government welfare approval for treatment? And the nerve of him calling those who are against his agenda, extremists. For his own benefit he should look up the word...self satisfaction. He who failed at Columbia University and entered Harvard on the race card has no business whatsoever running a health care plan for the country. As for Pelosi, she is nothing more than an 'itch snake hidding in the grass waiting to strike. Nothing she does benefits anyone other than herself.

Congress passes budget bills, presidents either veto, sign in to law, or in rare instances let them become law without signature.

    Your partial sentence:

he and Pelosi are offering will do nothing for the American people other than assist in paying back the debts he continues adding to.

Doesn't make any sense, if he continues to spend, then how does that assist in paying back the debts? Unless, and I doubt this, you are turning Keynesian, and believe that deficit spending to grow the economy will actually have a better return on investment than tax cuts or as George H.W. Bush called it "voodoo economics."

Let me try an break it down for you. Our country is in debt, 10 Trillion dollars and sends China 500 million daily for interest only payments. If the health care passes, we will begin paying our premiums in 2010 and not receive coverage from said bill until 2014. The monies received will be put toward the debt our country owes, and will not benefit us as far as health care coverage.
It makes sense if you stop and think about it. We are being set up to pay the country out of debt. Government run health care was the only way they could get everyone paying.
    Thanks for responding.

the american president says the house health care bill, the most important for the people
  • roniwho
Is it really that important for the people? What about the people who can't afford to pay the premiums who will be fined up to $250,000 and spend 5 years in jail. Hummm, all about the people. Must be why they are busy renovating the old Army bases creating Fema Camps, going to use them to house all the folks they throw in jail for not paying their insurance premiums. How can you pay when the unemployment rate is sky rocketing? Disgusting bunch of Socialist are trying to over turn our country and I am as mad as hell about it.

You have to remember first that Obama and Pelosi spoke of making history with the passing of the bill. He (Obama) don't have to worry, he has certainly made history. Perhaps not what he expected but just the same...History.

    USPS/IRS Health Care
If health care is the problem, insurance is not the cause and government is not the answer.
    .
Of those "50 million," that lack insurance there were 45,000 who died without health care.
    .
WITH health care, 98,000 died FROM health care because of malpractice.
    .
The question is do we want to trust that largest corporation in the world, the U.S. Government. Do not expect house calls anytime soon.
    .
We have seen how well the government delivers on its promises and its bureaucracies pursue the money without giving us benefits on so many levels.
    .
Imagine another 111 bureacracies that only ultimately must listen to the Secretary of the Treasury - another "service" of which is the IRS.

That blog of mine above has several .pdf connections (HR. 3962 and two summaries, a few videos, and page references for new taxes and other mandates).

If you cannot use the link, google "Progressive Capitalist H.R. 3962."
    .
If you believe the promises of this bill, you have to deal with the lie that it fosters competition with a government option called the "Public Option" and establishes the government as a monopoly making its own rules. Don't worry. You'll run out of "rich" soon enough.
    .
We have at least a $12 trillion economy of which at least $1.8 trillion is spent on health care.
    .
If you read the bill, there are plenty of opportunities to soak the middle class, if you do not mind the 1.6 million made jobless.

How exactly are 1.6 million going to be made jobless. From what I can tell from your post, you think passage of this bill will put 1.6 millon out of their job.

Yet Medicare and Medicaid, existing government health insurance, don't have their own health care providers, they just pay the insurance claims.

Now you could make the point that lower reimbursement rates from public insurance could lead to layoffs, but there are a lot of public and private examples of groups getting lower rates - government rates at hotels, and we still have hotels. Or AAA or AARP.

So please explain your 1.6 million in layoffs.
