As Dick Army (R) stated, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid should be out of the government's grip. Socialism is socialism. Then we could see how the United States which by the way include the following, the elderly (who will have to live with their kids), the poor (who really are used to it), the middle class (who will have to support their kids and parents), the rich (who will lose money because no one is spending money) survive. Get rid of other socialistic practices, free school, national parks, museums, etc. Believe what you think is right, but don't be a hypocrite. Get the government out of the H1N1 vaccinations! Jeeze, the gov't is everywhere one looks.

As Dick Army (R) has stated, Social Security, Medicare and Medicade should be removed from our government's grip. Socialism is socialism and trying to have it both ways is a hypocritical. Get rid of all socialism in American and see how the USA, the elderly (who will have to live with their children), the poor (who are use to it), the rich (who won't have jobs or be rich), the middle class (who have to take care of their parents and children) survive. Time to get rid of the socialistic practice of "free schools" and museums, national parks, PBS, etc...Fight for what you think is right, but don't be a hypocrite!

The link to the Letter from CBO to Kennedy is broken. I believe the corrected link may now be:

http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/104xx/doc10431/07-02...

number one, do not give illegals free health care until they are tax paying citizens. number two, computerize and consolidate records. number three, out law the constant abuse of the free emergency care by the same people over and over for non-emergency things. number four, have the government only provide health care for people who can't get it because they are not working or who have previous medical conditions, and families who make under $75,000 a year.

If I read the HELP bill correctly... If a company happens to make money under the terms for their participation in the new insurance regime, which it seems to me is unlikely, they will be required to rebate some of that money back to the subscriber every year, but if they loose money they own 100% of the losses. Are they crazy!
