Your headline about 88,000 employees is misleading and probably false. The assumptions for the large transfer from private to public insurance plans are not stated. I do not believe these results as stated. According to the August issue of Time magazine at present 53% are insured thru their employer, 5% are independently insured, 26% thru a public program. The average cost thru an employee program is about $13,300 per yr. of which the employer pays about 2/3 or $9,000. The employee pays about $4300 approx. Even with a public option I do not believe a employee will be able to beat this price for similar coverage. Certainly the "Connector in Mass" and other exchanges do not come close.

The problem is if insurance coverage is lost, co. moves, shuts down, etc then as an independent buyer of insurance, the former employee, or uninsured, has to pay $10,000 or more for similar coverage. I do not believe the private insurance co's will provide independent full coverage at anywhere near $4300 nor do I believe will the public option. But the public option without 20to 30 % administrative costs, Medicare has 3% Admin, may offer a lower price than the private insurers.

The net result maybe the public option will service low profit full coverage individual insurance that the private co's are not very interested in and relieve them of a lot of headaches.t

I have read most of this bill and it is nothing but a document to put Americans into chains (unless you are government employee and/or union member)!

This is slavery for the everyday American! Kiss our Republic goodbye if this hits the senate floor!

And can you believe that the actual lives of Americans were sold out by Mary Landrieu for $100 million dollars? That's what this democratic politicians think of us!

Get busy! Joined the Tea Parties! Joined you community letter writing groups and work day and night to get democrats out of office. Be prepared to cross state lines to make sure your neighboring states have all the help they need to avoid any democrat winning in their states!

Americans! Whatever your beliefs in God...please pray tonight and ask God, if it be His Will to save us from this bill!
